She’s dancing around me
Afraid to open my eyes
I know she’s there, smiling, laughing
God, she was, is so beautiful
Thought I could get away from her
Her reach, I’m still within it
I thought I could step away, but
She has proven me wrong….again
Darkness, she follows like a thief in the night
Waiting until the right time to introduce
Herself back into my being
Many times I tried to leave her but
She will not take no for an answer
I run, I have found light, but yet
She still finds me
Maybe I should just accept her embrace
It would be so easy
I do long for it…
Then why am I trying to avoid her?
I’m too afraid to face the truth…
That I long for the… her darkness
