POEM: ARMS OPEN

Over my shoulder

In my mind

I see you

But I can't seem to find

I know you're there

Out there, waiting

But how do I find you

Can't find a clue

Some one for me

Somebody who cares

Accepts me as I am

You're waiting

Maybe tomorrow

Maybe next week

You will be revealed

Standing before me

I'll wait, won't rush

Let you come into my life

Arms open, waiting to embrace

Step into my love

POEM: I'LL MANAGE

There are days

Where you won't go away

I feel your touch

Miss you so much

I wonder if I cross your mind

You cross mine from time to time

But it's best to let go

Best I don't know

Still I wonder what went wrong

Don't understand why you're gone

Maybe it was me

Maybe it wasn't meant to be

Pass your name in my phone

Best to leave you alone

Want to press send

But all things must end

Wake up in the middle of the night

Wondering why is wasn't right

Realizing I hate you for the pain

Promise myself never again

You smiled as you ripped it out

Kissed me as I began to shout

I'll never forget the damage

But I'll manage... 

POEM: MOVED ON

2 in the morning you decide to call

Saying we ain't spoke in a while

Nothing new comes from it

What made you dial?

Nothing has changed

You still feel the same

No clue as to what you want

So why try to haunt me

Confused think I will be there

Moved on, soon to be gone

Missed your chance

Emotionally I said so long

Call if you need too

I'll be your friend

But can't see myself

Riding this to the end

Find yourself first

Work thru your worst

Then maybe you'll be free

Only then you might see

2 in the morning, this time no answer

U were u used
U were abused
By lovers long gone

But seems to me you want me to...
Check you
Wreck you
That doesnt turn me on

Actions show me...
U like it rough
U need it tough
When I get mad, I see ur fire

U push my buttons...
Fuel my anger
Spit rancor
Then I see ur desire

Is this what u need
To be controlled
Under a mans hold
For u, is this where its at?

Not my style...
Been thru it
Not gonna do it
I cant go for that

Nothing ventured
Nothing gained
But was it worth it
Another attempt, another failure

Was fine alone
Decided to try it
Actions show, somethings wrong
Nothing is adding up

Hot and cold
Near and distant
It changes day to day
Refuse to be played

Not the one
To old to play
Get yourself together
You got the number

I see what you cant
Tried to help you see
But a wall goes up
As one falls

No time for this
Time to slow down
